Pathaan is all set to grace our silver screens on January 25 this year. The high octane thriller with gravity defying action sequences promises to be a visual spectacle and as the release date moves closer, fans can’t seem to keep calm.
However, the movie is currently in the eye of a controversy as the song
Besharam Rang is being massively trolled for the colour of Deepika’s bikini.
Following the controversy, the Central Board of Film Certification has advised changes in the film, including the songs, and asked the makers to submit the revised version prior to its theatrical release. Now, actor Mukesh Khanna has come to the fore saying that CBFC must take strict action against the movie.
In a video uploaded on his YouTube channel, the
Shaktimaan actor, often panned for his regressive views, said that the CBFC should step up and be more aware of the Hindu religion and if they do not take strict action against the movie, then he will keep protesting against it.
He further added that simply changing the lyrics of the song will no longer suffice, the entire dress (Deepika’s bikini) needs to go. According to him, only that will give out a clear message and moving on, no producer will dare to do something like this in the future.
Recently, CBFC Chairperson Prasoon Joshi had shared a statement saying that the committee has ‘stayed unbiased’ when it comes to the colours of the costumes in Pathaan.
Pathaan is directed by Siddharth Anand. John Abraham, known for his action roles will play the rakish antagonist in the movie.
