Neena Gupta opens up on her daughter Masaba’s birth, reveals there was both happiness and trepidation | Hindi Movie News

Neena Gupta has always carved her own niche, both on screen and off screen. Whether it is her acting prowess or her personal life, nothing in the life of the 63-year-old is usual or run of the mill, yet she strongly owns up that fact. Struggling to get good roles till a few years back, Neena has her plate full now and has recently been appreciated for movies like Badhaai ho, 83, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and the recent Uunchai and Vadh.

When it comes to her personal life, Neena has never made any attempt to hide anything, whether it was her relationship with former West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards or having a daughter (Masaba Gupta) with him, out of wedlock. In a recent interview to Brut India, Neena opened up on this tag of being ‘unconventional’ and how it is more of a misnomer.

Elaborating further, the veteran actor said that just because she had a baby out of wedlock, does not make her brave. In fact she is not brave, rather she is quite conventional and traditional.
The actor also recalled the time when Masaba was born and the mixed feelings that came with her birth. The Saans actor said that while on one hand, she was over the moon, on the other hand there was this constant fear of being judged.
