With dynamites, MP razes hotel of murder accused | India News

BHOPAL: The administration in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar on Tuesday used dynamite to blow up a four-storey hotel owned by a recently expelled BJP leader, who is on the run after being booked for murder.
While bulldozers and JCBs have been used for such demolitions elsewhere in the state, this is the first time that dynamite was used.
The accused, Mishrichand Gupta, is accused of murdering 30-year-old Jagdish Yadav, a relative of an independent candidate who defeated Gupta’s wife in the recently held civic body polls. Yadav was mowed down by a jeep in Sagar on December 22. Gupta was removed from BJP after the incident.
On Tuesday evening, a joint team of police and administration arrived outside a hotel owned by Gupta and his family members in Makronia area of Sagar town. Officials said the hotel was built on illegal land. The four-storey building was rigged with explosive charges after the administration vacated the area. The hotel was reduced to rubble in the explosion.
