Samsung Galaxy A14 5G with 90Hz display, Exynos 1330 launched: Price, features and more


Samsung has launched the Galaxy A14 5G smartphone, one day ahead of the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Here are the details of the newly launched smartphone. The smartphone succeeds the Galaxy A13 5G launched in 2021.

Samsung Galaxy A14 5G comes at a starting price tag of Rs 229 euros (approximately Rs 20,095). The smartphone is currently available for purchase in the US and will be available for purchase in the European markets starting April 2023.
Samsung Galaxy A14 5G: Specifications
Samsung Galaxy A14 5G has a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display. The smartphone offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The latest smartphone from Samsung comes powered by the new Exynos 1330 chipset. The company seems to have replaced the MediaTek chipset that powered the Galaxy A13 5G.
The Galaxy A14 5G houses a triple rear camera setup that comprises a 50MP main sensor, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The front houses a 13MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
The device comes in two RAM and storage variants- 4GB RAM+64GB storage and 6GB RAM+128GB storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 1TB using a microSD.
Samsung Galaxy A14 5G runs Android 13 OS topped with the company’s own layer of One UI 5.0 out of the box. In terms of software update the smartphone will receive two years of OPS upgrades and four years of security updates.
Connectivity options on the phone are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
The smartphone comes in four colour variants– Black, Sliver, Dark Red and Light Green.
One UI 5.0: What does it offer
Samsung OneUI 5.0 comes as the latest version layered on top of Android 13 which brings some new features. There is a “Privacy Detection” feature, a new Privacy and Security dashboard which resembles the Google’s Material You design, a new lock screen with options to customise it, and “Maintenance mode” which hides user’s data when the phone is sent for repair, stackable widgets, among others. The update also brings improved performance and smoother animations.
