Searches launched after three on bike flee police naka in Nowshera | India News


JAMMU: A joint team of police and army launched a search operation after three motorbike-borne men moving suspiciously on late Wednesday evening fled from a police check post in Nowshera sub-division of J&K’s Rajouri district. Police officials said that a terror angle is unlikely and there were no weapons or bags with them.
Rajouri Police said three persons on a motorbike fled a police check post in Thalka area of Nowshera late on Wednesday evening and they abandoned the motorbike, which they were riding on, near the transit camp in Thalka and fled towards the nearby forest area.
Soon after the incident, army and police launched a search operation in the area, police said. Officials added that although searches have been launched, it is clarified that these suspects were not carrying any weapons.
